Celebrating Mrs. Natardia Lewis-Barnett’s Achievement in Advanced Training

At Turning Point, we believe that lasting recovery happens when care goes beyond treatment — when we combine knowledge, compassion, and a holistic approach. We’re proud to celebrate Mrs. Natardia Lewis-Barnett on her successful completion of the Fundamentals of Mental Health Online Course through the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

This continuing professional development course equips professionals with practical tools and deeper insight to support individuals navigating complex personal challenges.

The training covered key areas such as:

• Building and maintaining strong therapeutic rapport with clients

• Recognizing signs that someone may be struggling or in distress

• Conducting thorough assessments to better understand client needs

• Exploring evidence-based treatment and support approaches

• Guiding clients and families through their healing journey

These skills are especially meaningful in a rehabilitation setting, where emotional well-being, safety, and connection play a vital role in achieving and maintaining recovery.

Mrs. Barnett’s achievement shows her dedication to growing and supporting those we serve. Her commitment strengthens our shared mission and creates real pathways to recovery. A special thank-you to Ms. Knight, our Counselor, for introducing and recommending the program. Congratulations, Mrs. Barnett, and thank you for the heart and care you bring every day.
